Copper Canyon
Enjoy one of Mexico’s most scenic rail journeys, the train through the Sierra Madre mountains from Los Mochis to Chihuahua. There are three days of magnificent rail journeys (2-7 hours each) with switchbacks, bridges and tunnels carrying the lonely track which clings to the cliff walls. Enjoy jaw-dropping views over the chasms, and stay in comfortable hotels en route. There are a score of ravines and gorges, and, according to altitude, an infinite variety of landscape from snow-dusted peaks smothered in conifers to sub-tropical citrus groves.
