Day 1: Arrive ParisWelcome to Paris, capital of France and the City of Light. After check-in to your hotel - the ideal spot for your exploration of this magnificent city, you can relax or take a stroll in the local neighbourhood. This afternoon meet your Travel Director and fellow travellers to attend a Welcome Reception in the heart of the city.

Day 2: Paris This morning after a leisurely start, your Travel Director takes you on a tour of this mesmerising city for views of the Champs Elysées, Arc de Triomphe and Place de la Concorde. Your Local Specialist reveals not just where, but how real Parisians live and shop, showing you the enchanting hidden squares and secret passages of one of Paris' oldest historical neighbourhoods. This short insider walk finishes at one of the loveliest squares, little known to outsiders, but a real favourite of the locals. Later visit the second level of the Eiffel Tower for breathtaking views across the city. This evening you may decide to take an Optional Experience to the Latin Quarter for a visit inside Notre Dame and a cruise down the River Seine.
Day 3: Paris Today is completely yours to explore Paris further or you may wish to experience a full-day Optional Experience and travel to the historical and poignant D-Day landing beaches. Your Travel Director will be able to suggest other activities such as museums, shopping or sightseeing in the city.
Day 4: Paris Visit the best-known and most resplendent palace in France, Versailles. Our Local Specialist guides you through the majestic palace followed by the breathtaking picturesque Royal Gardens. Later visit the Petit Trianon Palace before continuing to Marie Antoinette's hamlet to see how the French Royalty family really lived. This evening you may wish to utilise your Parisian Brasserie voucher which gives you a choice of centrally located brasseries to visit for dinner.
Day 5: Paris Today's exploration of French culture takes on another dimension as you meet a real Parisian chef for a French cuisine experience including a light lunch. During your Cultural Insight learn some culinary secrets and get to savour your creation. The balance of the day is then yours to enjoy as you wish. Perhaps take a relaxing stroll along the River Seine or enjoy some of the great shopping in the heart of Paris. Your Travel Director will be there to give you advice. This evening you may wish to consider an Optional Experience to attend a performance of a true French cabaret at the world-famous Moulin Rouge.
Day 6: Paris This morning after a relaxing start take a private street trolley car to visit the fascinating and colourful "village" of Montmartre, the highest point in Paris. Your Local Specialist will show you the hidden squares', artists haunts and romantic hideaways of this most beautiful Parisian neighbourhood. The rest of the day is yours to enjoy. This evening visit the world renowned Louvre museum with Small Group Sightseeing. A Local Specialist will show you the most important masterpieces and the stunning apartments of Napoleon III, all when the museum is quieter and the crowds have disappeared.
Day 7: Paris Today is your last chance for last-minute souvenir shopping or alternatively participate on an Optional Experience to visit Monet's famous gardens at Giverny. This afternoon enjoy a walking tour to a part of Paris where you will discover how the French Revolution began. Join your Travel Director and companions for a Farewell Dinner at an iconic Parisian restaurant dating back to 1686.
Day 8: Depart ParisAfter breakfast, say farewell to Paris and your newfound friends as you prepare to return home after a memorable week in one of the world's greatest cities. Day 2: Paris - Rouen - Honfleur - BayeuxThis morning visit Rouen where Joan of Arc was tragically burnt at the stake. Then travel to Honfleur, a picturesque port immortalised by many artists. Later in Bayeux visit the Tapestry Museum and see the Bayeux Tapestry depicting events before and during the Battle of Hastings in 1066.

Day 3: Bayeux - D-Day Landing Beachs (Omaha) - Mont St. MichelYour Travel Director provides excellent historical commentary during your visit to the D-Day Landing beach at Omaha and the military cemetery. Day 4: Mont St. Michel - Loire Valley - AmboiseVisit the Benedictine Abbey at Mont St. Michel with a Local Specialist. Legend has it that the Archangel Michael appeared to the Bishop of Avranches, inspiring him to build an oratory on this rocky island jutting into the English Channel. Travel through scenic countryside and later stop for a memorable Be My Guest experience at a picturesque château, including wine tasting and a light meal. Day 5: Châteaux ExcursionYour Local Specialist takes you on a visit to the Amboise Royal château, where King François I spent much of his childhood with his mother, Louise of Savoy. During the first few years of his reign the château reached the pinnacle of its glory. As a guest of the King, Leonardo da Vinci came to Château Amboise in December 1515 and lived and worked in the nearby Clos Lucé, connected to the château by an underground passage. Leonardo is buried in the Chapel of Saint-Hubert adjoining the château. Continue with a fascinating visit to Chenonceau, a fairytale château built on the River Cher. The beautiful architecture - reflected in the waters of the river - is complemented by magnificent landscaped gardens. The Château is often referred to as the Ladies Castle, as a number of women influenced its construction and development. It contains priceless collections including Renaissance furniture, tapestries and numerous masterpieces by Rubens and Tintoretto.
Day 6: Amboise - Chambord - Chartres - ParisVisit Chambord, one of the most remarkable and recognisable châteaux in the world. Influenced by Italian Renaissance architecture, the château resembles a medieval stronghold incorporating classical Italian ornamental flourishes. The château was constructed by King François I as a royal hunting lodge, however, he didn't live to see it completed. Visit Chartres Cathedral, an important place of pilgrimage and marvel at the original stained glass windows. Tonight in Paris consider going to see a spectacular cabaret show, for which the city is internationally renowned.

Day 3: Lyon - Avignon - Monaco - French RivieraStop in Avignon to see the Papal Palace and the bridge made famous in the song, 'sur le pont d'Avignon'. This small city state is both a constitutional monarchy and home to the rich and famous. View the cathedral, where Prince Rainier and Princess Grace were married.
