Cameron Highlands is a perfect getaway for those who wish to retreat into the highlands to enjoy the cool fresh mountain air and the green hills. Named after the British Surveyor, William Cameron discovered the place in 1885.

The tea cultivated is among one of the best in the Country. Those who wish to partake in some activities can enjoy drinking tea in quaint English style tea houses or take a drive to the top of the mountain for a breathtaking view of the hills. You can also visit the many flower plantations, as exporting flowers is an increasingly important economic activity.

Day 1: Kuala Lumpur – Cameron Highlands

Depart by 0830 hrs for Cameron Highlands which is located 1542 meters above sea level, famed for its tea plantations and cool temperatures. On the way, we will visit Batu Caves, the sacred cave temple for the Hindus, a cottage industry of basket weaving, a native settlement and Lata Iskandar Waterfall. Enjoy afternoon tea at the Hotel. At leisure on arrival.

Day 2: Cameron Highlands

After breakfast depart for an exploratory tour of Cameron Highlands, used as a highland retreat station for the British during the colonial days. Proceed to Gunung or Mount Brinchang, the highest peak (6,666ft.) in Cameron Highlands. Climb up the viewing tower where you will be amazed with magnificent view of the surrounding area with fresh and cool air. Experienced the tropical and mossy rainforest through a boardwalk for about 30 minutes, an interpretive walk into the Mossy Forest will reveal some of the most unique forest flora of this mountain like the carnivorous Pitcher Plant, primitive Ferns, wild Orchids, Ti trees and Rhododendrons. Cruise down the hill to view the most scenic tea plantation, the Sungei Palas Boh Estate which is regarded as the largest and best known tea station in the region. Take a tea break (own account) after the brief guided tour of the factory. After that, continue to visit to one of the strawberry farms where you can pay a small fee to pick fresh succulent strawberries by hand. From the farm, you will visit a Butterfly and Reptile Farm (include entrance fees) to view the many beautiful butterfly species including the renowned Raja Brooke. Next stop is at day market where most of the local produce can be found. Spend some time here exploring the many delightful finds. Thereafter, proceed to Tanah Rata town for lunch break (lunch on own). Tanah Rata is the largest town in Cameron Highlands region, where many local cafes and restaurants are located. After lunch, walk around town before return to hotel.

Please note: Tea factory is closed on Monday and public holidays. Lunch, Tea break at the tea factory is not inclusive in tour price. Please wear comfortable trekking shoes, insect repellent and raincoat/disposable poncho (in-case of rain).

Day 3: Cameron Highlands – Kuala Lumpur

After breakfast your morning is free at leisure. At 1pm depart the Cameron Highlands and return to Kuala Lumpur where your tour will end.
