Day 1: Arrive Nairobi

A personal welcome to the safari capital of Kenya and transfer to your hotel located close to the airport.

Hotel: Four Points by Sheraton Nairobi Airport

Day 2: Nairobi – Amboseli National Park

This morning, drive south to Amboseli National Park, and on to charming Tortilis Camp, facing the magnificent snow-capped Mount Kilimanjaro. Explore Amboseli, famous for its huge elephant herds.

Hotel: Tortilis Camp, 2 nights

Day 3: Amboseli National Park

Experience the wildlife diversity which the varied terrain sustains — buffalo, giraffe and hippo, as well as smaller mammals such as black-backed jackals and the delightful bat-eared fox on morning and afternoon game drives.

Day 4: Amboseli National Park – Lake Elmenteita

Fly to Nairobi and drive on to Lake Elmenteita Serena Camp, located on the shores of glittering Lake Elmenteita, a soda lake home to over 400 bird species. An afternoon game drive in the Soysambu Conservancy may reveal buffalo, hyena, zebra, leopard, the endangered Rothschild’s Giraffe and much more with abundant birdlife including flamingoes on and around the lake.

Day 5: Lake Elmenteita – Ol Pejeta Conservancy

Drive east to the wild and beautiful landscapes of the Meru National Park brought to the world’s attention by George and Joy Adamson and their inspiring work with the resident lion prides. Your lodge is named for Elsa, one of their adopted cubs, and it is located on the site of the Adamson’s original camp. The park is recognised as having a greater diversity of animal species than any other in East Africa and is remote so there will be few other vehicles crossing your path. Discover this awe-inspiring wilderness on game drives by day and night, visits to the park’s rhino sanctuary, guided walks and river fishing.

Day 6: Ol Pejeta Conservancy

Enjoy morning and afternoon game drives, as well as visits to the Endangered Wildlife Educational centre and northern white rhino enclosure.

Day 7: Ol Pejeta Conservancy – Meru National Park

Discover this awe-inspiring wilderness on game drives, visits to the park’s rhino sanctuary, guided walks and river fishing.

Day 9: Meru National Park – Masai Mara National Reserve

Fly southwest to the boundless plains of the world famous Masai Mara, where your accommodation is at the exclusive Serian The Original. The reserve’s wide open spaces and abundant wildlife make for exciting and effortless game viewing in this area considered one of the finest for wildlife in all of Africa.

Days 10 & 11: Masai Mara National Reserve

Spend The next two days are spent on safari. The Masai Mara is a photographer’s dream, with lion, elephant, buffalo, cheetah and the graceful Maasai giraffe all resident. Spend the next two days exploring the reserve with early morning, late afternoon and night game drives by 4WD and local village visits (additional cost).

Day 12: Masai Mara National Reserve – Depart Nairobi

Return by air to Nairobi where your safari ends.
