Day 1: Arrive Windhoek

Arrive in Windhoek, where your private air safari begins. Enjoy a welcome dinner.

Day 2: Windhoek – Sossusvlei – NamibRand Nature Reserve

Fly to Sossusvlei, where you will see from above some of the highest sand dunes in the world. Stop in Sossusvlei for a memorable excursion into the dunes, before boarding a flight to NamibRand Nature Reserve. Head out on a drive, stopping for sundowners overlooking the Chateau Plains.

Arrive in Windhoek, where your private air safari begins. Enjoy a welcome dinner.

Day 3: NamibRand Nature Reserve

Venture out on morning and afternoon 4WD nature excursions and take in the incredible African desert scenes. Tonight, sit down to a sumptuous dinner.

Day 4: NamibRand Nature Reserve – Etosha National Park

Re-board your private plane and fly over the Dune Sea, which stretches along Namibia’s entire Atlantic coast. Land at Walvis Bay and board a cruise to see dolphins, ending with a lunch along the beach. After your Walvis Bay cruise, continue by plane to Onguma Private Game Reserve.

Hotel: Onguma The Fort, 3 nights

During morning and afternoon game drives, experience the wildlife of Etosha National Park. Within the desert, elephants, lions, giraffes and many breeds of birds congregate around the various waterholes. You may also spot zebras, cheetahs, leopards or black rhinos.

Explore Onguma Private Game Reserve via morning and afternoon game drives. This evening, experience a sunset in front of the waterhole, over the salt pans of Africa.

Savour your last breakfast in Onguma Private Game Reserve then board your plane to Windhoek. Continue to Cape Town and transfer to your hotel.

A gateway to Cape Town’s past, you will stop at the Castle of Good Hope for a tour of this historic landmark. Afterwards, you will board the aerial cableway to the top of Table Mountain. Tonight, you will enjoy a dinner at a local restaurant.

Today you will journey along the coastal Chapman’s Peak Drive to Cape Point, before continuing on to Simon’s Town for lunch.

Today, meet with a former prison guard of Nelson Mandela for a private tour at Robben Island. After your private tour of Robben Island, savour the rest of the day at your beautiful estate in Stellenbosch.

Today you will indulge in Stellenbosch’s storied past and remarkable culture on a walking tour.

Today, fly to Kruger, before transferring to your private lodge. Enjoy a round of sundowners, before dinner.

During your time at the Ngorongoro Crater today, you will stop for a picnic lunch. Make sure you have your camera ready to capture the abundant natural wildlife.

Day 22: Lake Manyara

Visit a local school and Maasai village. Enjoy a barbecue lunch and optional game drive through Manyara National Park.

Take in the spectacular, expansive views and watch out for wildlife, as you travel to Serengeti National Park. At Olduvai Gorge, enjoy a private tour of the earliest evidence of the existence of human ancestors.

The plains of Serengeti National Park are home to an incredible amount of animals. Rise early this morning for a game drive. Back at your lodge, enjoy some time to relax. This evening savour another game drive, this time observing animals as they prepare for the night time, before enjoying dinner at your lodge.

Day 25: Serengeti National Park

A third day in the national park illuminates the opportunity to see any animals that you may have missed on game drives yesterday.

Board a light aircraft for your journey to Kenya, where you will take a picturesque flight to the Masai Mara, home to the nomadic Maasai people who have lived here for centuries. Shortly after arriving, head off-road through the savannah on your first game drive. This is one of the best places in Africa to spot the Big Five, as well as cheetahs and hyenas. Take in the sounds of the bush at your tented camp, your home for the next three nights. Enjoy dinner before retiring for the evening.

Enjoy the sensational Masai Mara on morning and afternoon game drives through the private Mara conservancy. Raise a glass and celebrate your experience with sundowner drinks.

Today is set aside for a game viewing of the Masai Mara Reserve. This evening a traditional bush dinner is served.

This morning you will say goodbye to Masai Mara and take a flight to Nairobi. At the end of your day, enjoy a private performance by the Kenyan Boys Choir, with farewell drinks.

Day 3: Ngorongoro Crater

During your full day at the crater, you will stop for a picnic lunch, giving you time to take in the surrounds. Voted as one of the Seven Wonders of Africa, the crater’s high walls are a natural enclosure to vast numbers of wildebeest, zebras, gazelles and lions, so make sure you have your camera ready to capture the abundant wildlife.

Day 4: Ngorongoro Crater – Lake Manyara

Today, you will be given the opportunity to visit a local school. Afterwards, you will venture to a local Maasai village and enjoy a barbecue lunch before an optional game drive through Manyara National Park.

Day 5: Olduvai Gorge – Serengeti National Park

Take in the spectacular, expansive views and watch out for wildlife, as you travel to Serengeti National Park. At Olduvai Gorge, also known as the Cradle of Mankind, enjoy a private tour of the earliest evidence of the existence of human ancestors.

Day 6: Serengeti National Park

Today you might like to head off in the morning, evening or both to maximise the chance of seeing the animals who call the park home. Otherwise, you might like to simply relax and enjoy the beautiful setting in the bush. This evening, savour the African sunset from your expansive balcony.

Day 8: Serengeti National Park – Masai Mara

Board a light aircraft to the Masai Mara, home to the nomadic Maasai people who have lived here for centuries. A vast savannah dotted with trees, there’s hardly a place on Earth that resembles this land. On arrival, head off-road through the savannah on your first game drive. This is one of the best places in Africa to spot big game such as the Big Five, as well as cheetahs and hyenas. Afterwards, you will make your way to your tented camp where you will stay this evening. Enjoy a delicious dinner before retiring for the evening.

Day 9: Masai Mara

Day 11: Masai Mara – Nairobi

Say goodbye to the Masai Mara and take a breathtaking flight to Nairobi, the capital and largest city of Kenya. Later, you will be transferred back to Hemingways Nairobi for your final night in Africa. At the end of the day, enjoy a fantastic private performance by the Kenyan Boys Choir, with farewell drinks.

Day 1: Arrive Nairobi

Kickstart your African safari adventure in Kenya. Meet your Trafalgar Representative and embark on a 4×4 journey in your Toyota Landcruiser vehicle to your hotel. Spend the evening with your fellow explorers and your Kenya Driver Guide enjoying a delicious Welcome Reception at the world-famous Carnivore restaurant.

Please Note: The full duration of this itinerary is operated by a 4 X 4 safari vehicle, including all road travel and safari game drives. The trip will travel over a variety of terrains, resulting in some rough and bumpy journeys.

After lunch at the Home, you’ll continue your 4×4 journey to Aberdare National Park. Consider joining an Optional Experience in search of the black rhino and Colobus moneys that find sanctuary within its virgin forest.

Day 3: Solio Game Reserve Excursion

Embark on a half-day exploration of Solio Game Reserve, a privately owned wildlife conservancy, renowned as the most successful rhino breeding reserve in Kenya. Return to your accommodation for an afternoon at leisure.

Day 4: Aberdare National Park Area – Lake Nakuru National Park

Have your camera ready for a photo stop at the spectacular Thomson’s Falls before connecting with the soul of Africa’s Great Rift Valley. Day 2: Lake Naivasha

After early breakfast check out of the hotel then enjoy a sightseeing tour of Nairobi, offering you the opportunity to see the Nairobi City within a short time and discover Nairobi’s beauty and history. The tour includes Nairobi City Tour, visit to Sheldrick Elephant Orphanage, Giraffe centre, Karen Blixen museum and lunch in Nairobi. After lunch proceed to Lake Naivasha were you will stay for 2 night at your deluxe safari lodge at Lake Naivasha Sopa Lodge or similar.

Day 3: Lake Naivasha

After breakfast travel to Lake Nakuru National Park which lies on the floor of the Great Rift Valley, surrounded by wooded and bushy grassland. The park supports a wide ecological diversity including Flamingos and other water birds, and the Black and White Rhinoceros which are the major attractions of the park. Spend morning and afternoon on game drives then late afternoon drive back to your lodge for dinner. Lake Naivasha Sopa Lodge or similar.

Day 4: Masai Mara Game Reserve

After breakfast check out your hotel room and deposit your luggage for storage at the hotel reception, followed by choice of add on excursion, the morning boat safari excursion along Lake Naivasha, which offers a unique perspective on birdwatching and wildlife viewing in Kenya (It’s a add on excursion extra US$50.00 per person subject to change). At 10:00am we travel to Masai Mara Game Reserve arriving at the lunch time followed by afternoon for game drive. Mara is a famous for its Big Five and Big cats, Lion, Leopard and Cheetah, en-route game drive pm dinner and overnight stay at your deluxe safari lodge Mara Serena Lodge Lodge or similar.

Day 5: Masai Mara Game Reserve

Enjoy morning and afternoon game drives in this spectacular Masai Mara game reserve, all with superb photographic opportunities. Blessed with a permanent water supply, Masai Mara has a permanent population of plains game. The “Big Five” – Elephant, Buffalo, Lion, Leopard and Rhino are quite common. Dinner and overnight stay at your deluxe safari lodge Mara Serena Lodge Lodge or simila.

Day 6: Serengeti National Park

After breakfast we pack up and leave our lodge with a picnic lunch for the long drive from Masai Mara to Serengeti, crossing, the Kenya and Tanzania boader of Isebania and Serari where you will clear customs and Immigration, than proceed to Tanzania entering Serengeti National Park via Ndabaka or Fort Ikoma.

The park’s name, Serengeti, means ‘endless plains’ and is derived from the Masai language. The park lies in a high plateau between the Ngorongoro highlands and the Kenya and Tanzania border, only if the time permits short en-route game drive will be offered. Day 7: Serengeti National Park

After breakfast enjoy your Tanzania safari in the world famous wildlife sanctuary the Serengeti National Park. The largest National Park in Tanzania, is about 14,763 sq kms in area, in Tanzania. Summed up as ‘one of the most unique areas in the world. The Serengeti contains the largest remaining concentration of plains game in Africa, on a scale, which has no parallel any where in the world. The abundance of herbivores includes Wildebeest, Zebra, Gazelle, Topi, Buffalo, and Hartebeest, to name but a few. Serengeti is also famous for Predators e.g. Lion, Cheetah, Leopard, Hyena and contains a wide variety of birdlife, believed to be in the region of 500 species. Day 8: Ngorongoro Crater

After breakfast enjoy another game drive in Serengeti National Park with picnic lunch. Your safari guide will explore various areas Moro kopjes and Gol kopjes. The extensive grasslands are interspersed with Kopjes rocky outcrops like islands in the flat plain, each with their own wildlife communities. Discover the Seronera rivers flow through the park, providing habitats for a variety of birds, mammals and reptiles. Afternoon proceed to Nabi Hill date were you will enjoy your memorable picnic lunch, after we will proceed to Malanja depression entering Ngorongoro Conservation Area, proceed to the Ngorongoro Serena Lodge, with clouds rolling over the rim like a misty waterfall, the setting is dreamy. Your unique deluxe safari lodge fits into the contours of the Ngorongoro crater rim, and is built of volcanic rock. It offers a spectacular view of the Ngorongoro Crater floor, yet it is virtually invisible when you are down on the crater floor on your game drive. Day 9: Lake Manyara National Park

Today after breakfast, prepare yourself for Africa’s Eden, a 6 hour tour of Ngorongoro Crater. The Ngorongoro Crater, which is a famous for its Big Five and home to rare Black Rhino, has its own Soda Lake. The concentration of animals means that you are likely to see several Lion in a short period of time. You descend 2,200 feet for a thrilling day among Africa’s Big Five Lion, Elephant, Buffalo, Black Rhino and Leopard, before arriving at your lodge,  Lake Manyara Serena Lodge or similar.

Day 10: Lake Manyara

After breakfast, visit Lake Manyara National Park which is one of the finest parks in Tanzania. Enjoy your morning game drive followed by lunch then depart towards the village of Mto wa Mbu and Great Rift Valley . Day 11: Amboseli National Park

After breakfast we pack up and leave our lodge with a picnic lunch for long drive transfer. Depart Lake Manyara and proceed to the City of Arusha which is a centre point of Cape to Cairo. Continue the journey to Namanga boarder, the crossing point between Tanzania and Kenya border of Namanga where you will clear customs and Immigration procedure for Kenya. Enter Amboseli National Park which is situated at the foothills of Mount Kilimanjaro (19,430 ft) at around late afternoon , we will continue with en-route game drives towards to our lodge only if the time permits. Amboseli is famous for its vast herds of Elephants and stunning views of Mount Kilimanjaro on clear days. Dinner and overnight stay at your lodge Amboseli Serena Lodge or similar.

Day 1: Arrive In Casablanca, Morocco

Check into your hotel. Later, meet your Tour Director and fellow travelers.

Day 2: Casablanca – Rabat – Meknes – Fez

A short ride along the coast to Rabat, once a lair of the corsairs and now the country’s capital. Sightseeing includes the Royal Palace, Hassan Tower, and the Kasbah of Oudayas. You’ll be reminded of the time when Morocco was the Roman province of Mauretania as you visit the fine Roman Relics of Chellah and its gardens. Continue to Meknes. During your guided tour, see its monumental gates, mosque, palace, and miles of protective walls. Visit its Royal Stables, originally built to house 12,000 of the royal horses. Travel east towards Fez, Morocco’s most enchanting city.

Day 3: Fez

At leisure in ancient Fez, which occupies a position of outstanding scenic beauty. Visit the exotic ancient Medina on the optional sightseeing tour, a maze of narrow, bustling streets and alleys that are home to colorful souks.

Day 4: Fez – Ifrane – Erfoud

Travel today into the very heart of Morocco. Stop in the quiet, French-built alpine mountain resort of Ifrane. Verdant cedar forests give way to volcanic mountains and windswept plains as you motor across the Middle Atlas range. Pass fortified mud-and-straw villages and descend into the spectacular Ziz Gorges. The landscape becomes progressively more arid and you enter a stony desert. Approaching Erfoud, encounter an unexpected and breathtaking surprise: the peaceful oasis of the Ziz Valley.

Day 5: Erfoud

The best choice today is an included excursion to Rissani to see the Mausoleum Of Moulay Ali Sharif, the first ruler of the Alaouite Dynasty. This evening, enjoy an optional excursion in the desert.

Day 6: Erfoud – The Road Of A Thousand Kasbahs – Ouarzazate

Enjoy the drive through the eastern slopes of the Atlas Mountains and arrive at the Tinerhir oasis with its green valley of palms and local villages. On to the impressive Todra Gorge, then along the Dades Valley. Arrive in the film capital of Morocco, Ouarzazate, where you’ll visit the Kasbah De Taourirt, the intricate but fascinating residence of Pasha Thami el Glaoui.

Day 7: Ouarzazate – Ait Benhaddou – Tizi-N-Tichka Pass – Marrakesh

Travel to Aït Benhaddou, a kasbah famous as a film location for Lawrence of Arabia and Gladiator. Pass through picturesque villages surrounded by craggy mountains towards 7,414-foot-high Tizi-n-Tichka Pass in the heart of the High Atlas Mountains. Each new twist in the road leads to a different, more dramatic landscape. Leaving the pass behind, see the landscape gradually change to a tapestry of red ochre. Enter the gates of the red-colored imperial city of Marrakesh, justly reputed the most fascinating of all Moroccan cities. An optional evening excursion is a fitting way to end the day.

Day 1: Arrive Casablanca

Arrive Casablanca where you are met at the airport and transferred to your hotel. Assistance with check-in. Casablanca is the financial capital of the country, with a bustling commercial activity and is an important African seaport.

Day 2: Casablanca – Rabat

You are collected at your hotel in the morning and taken to see the central market, Mohamed V square, the Habous district, the residential area of Anfa, the outside of the Hassan II Mosque, and the exterior of the Royal Palace. Begin your journey to Rabat, capital of the kingdom and modern administrative centre. Rabat is known as the “White City”, owing to its whitewashed houses and buildings. City tour including the Kasbah of the Oudaya, the Hassan Tower, the Mohammed V Mausoleum, and the Royal Palace & Mechouar (exterior).

Day 3: Rabat – Meknes – Volubilis – Fez

Today you journey on to historic Fes via Meknes, another of the Imperial Cities, transformed by its imposing architecture from the period of Moulay Ismail, (1672-1727 CE). You will be able to view the Mellah (Jewish quarter), the Royal Stables, the Bab El Mansour Gate and the famous city walls. After an optional lunch, travel on just north of Meknes to the important religious town of Moulay Idriss and the impressive Roman ruins of Volubilis. Continue to Fes, the oldest of the imperial cities having been founded shortly after the Arab invaders swept across northern Africa in the late 7th century.

Day 4: Fez

A full day to explore the wonders of this superb city, considered to be the religious centre of the land. Visit some of the city’s most important monuments such as the Karaouiyne Mosque, the Attarine and Bou Inania Medersas, the Nejarrine Fountain and the Mausoleum of the Sultan, Moulay Idriss, whose Dynasty founded the city (788-974CE). Optional lunch in a traditional restaurant in the medina. Afternoon visit of Fes el Jdid and the Royal Palace (exterior).

Day 5: Fez – Beni Mellal – Marrakesh

Departure via Ifrane, resort town of wealthy Moroccans, Azrou, a relaxed Berber town, and the village of Immouzer du Kandar, and Beni-Mellal, a small town situated 625m above sea-level in the heart of the Middle Atlas mountain range enjoying superb scenery and interesting road stops all the way. Optional lunch en route. Continue your journey to magnificent Marrakesh, the capital of the south.

Day 6: Marrakesh

Full day sightseeing tour of Marrakesh. In the morning you will visit the Saadian tombs, Bahia Palace and explore the colourful souks with your guide. You will be able to see and purchase the work that the women produce and support the community in a tangible way. Free time for lunch. Arrive at Algeciras port (Spain) to board the ferry or hydrofoil to Tangier in Morocco.  On arrival in Tangier, you will go through customs to then be met by your driver who takes you to your accommodation. OPTIONAL Lunch in a local restaurant.  Sightseeing of Tangier including the Medina, “Grand and Petit Socco”, the Kasbah square overlooking the ocean and the Spanish coast, and the Hercules’ grottoes at Cape Spartel.

Visit of the medina, exterior of the Royal Palace and the Mellah Jewish quarter, Bab Remouz. You continue on to Chefchaouen, a delightful town in The Rif Mountains. Visit of one of the focal points of the old city, the Plaza Uta el-Hammam. You will be able to view the Medina and the Kasbah. Next door to the Kasbah is Chefchouen’’s Great Mosque, built in the 15th century by Ali ben Rachid. OPTIONAL lunch in Chefchaouen. Arrival at Casablanca airport where you will be met by your driver to travel south to Essaouira. On the way you will stop in Safi, to admire some of the very good local pottery. Departure for Agadir, stop at an Argan oil cooperative runby women where you have the opportunity to see how the oil is made and purchase some to bring home. Continue to Marrakesh. Marrakesh is one of Morocco’s most important artistic and cultural centres. It was founded in 1062CE by Almoravide sultan Youssef Ibn Tachfin. Arrival and check-in. This afternoon, you have a dusk/sunset tour of the Menara Basin and the Majorelle Gardens, the beautiful private gardens owned by Yves Saint Laurent.

Set in a Kasbah surrounded by lush greenery and a vegetable garden, the Dada (traditionally the person responsible for the preparation of meals among wealthy families) will share her recipes with you. An English translator provides a brief introduction of the history and traditions of Moroccan cuisine followed by detailed preparation and cooking instructions. Choose your menu at the beginning of the class from a variety of tagine or couscous dishes. At the end of the workshop, enjoy the meal you have just prepared on a private patio in the shade of an olive or fig tree.

Day 4: Depart Marrakesh

Perhaps some time for any last minute shopping before being transferred to the airport for your departure flight.
