Day 1: Phnom Penh (Cambodia)

On arrival in Phnom Penh, transfer to your hotel and enjoy free time until your Cambodia tour briefing.

Day 2: Phnom Penh Tour

Begin your Phnom Penh city tour with a fun cyclo ride through the backstreets of the city to the Central Market. Travel to Tuol Sleng Museum and the Killing Fields memorial at Choeng Ek to learn about the country’s chilling history. In the afternoon, see the beautiful architecture of the Royal Palace and Silver Pagoda. Enjoy sunset drinks with your group at the iconic Foreign Correspondence Club.

Day 3: Phnom Penh – Siem Reap

Fly from Phnom Penh to Siem Reap. Drive to Tonle Sap Lake and explore the lake by boat as you cruise past floating villages. Return to Siem Reap and spend time exploring independently.

Day 4: Temples Of Angkor

Rise early and travel by tuk-tuk to Angkor Wat’s East Gate entrance for sunrise. Explore the temple before entering the little-visited West Gate of the Angkor Thom complex. Spend time at Bayon temple, famous for its stone head sculptures and see the Terraces of the Elephant and Leper King. Enjoy free time at the hotel before exploring Banteay Srei temple in the afternoon. Visit a palm sugar village and discover jungle-covered Ta Prohm temple. This evening, enjoy dinner with your fellow travellers.

Day 5: Siem Reap – Saigon (Vietnam)

Fly from Siem Reap to Saigon in Vietnam. On arrival in Saigon, transfer to your hotel and enjoy free time until your Vietnam tour briefing.

Day 6: Cu Chi Tunnels

Drive to Cu Chi and discover the network of underground tunnels. On your return to Saigon, enjoy a traditional Pho lunch at a local restaurant. In the afternoon, wander along Dong Khoi Street, see the Notre Dame Cathedral and Ho Chi Minh Square before visiting the War Remnants Museum on a walking tour. As the sun sets over the city, relax with a drink at the iconic rooftop bar, Saigon Saigon, the perfect end to the day.

Day 7: Mekong Delta

Spend the day exploring the Mekong Delta in a private boat. Visit a traditional brick factory, meet a family of weavers and enjoy a delicious local lunch. On the return drive to Saigon, stop at Cao Dai temple.

Day 8: Saigon – Hue

ly from Saigon to Hue and discover Emperor Tu Duc’s tomb, Imperial Palace and Citadel. Visit Spiral Foundation, a unique enterprise which was established in 2001 to employ people with disabilities. With the help of the local people, enjoy making a souvenir from recycled materials as you learn about their lives.

Day 9: Hue – Hoi An

Soak in some of Vietnam’s most stunning scenery along Hai Van Pass as you drive from Hue to Hoi An. On arrival in Hoi An, embark on a walking tour and visit a traditional ancient house, a Chinese Assembly Hall and the Japanese Covered Bridge.

Day 10: Hoi An

Enjoy a free day to do as much or as little as you like in Hoi An. Choose to explore the old town or cycle to An Bang Beach.

Day 11: Hoi An – Halong Bay

Drive a short distance to Danang before flying to Haiphong and driving on to Halong Bay. Board a beautifully appointed junk boat and feast on fresh seafood before exploring an enormous grotto. In the evening, retreat to your private cabin, or relax on the main deck or at the bar.

Cruise: Indochina Sails overnight boat or similar

Day 12: Halong Bay – Hanoi

Greet the day with a sunrise Tai Chi lesson on the sundeck. Spend time climbing to the peak of a remote island for 360 degree views of Halong Bay. After brunch on board, disembark and drive to Hanoi. In the afternoon, wander the backstreets of Hanoi’s Old Quarter and sample some delicious local snacks including a Vietnamese pancake and drink beer local-style at a ‘Bia Hoi’ establishment.

Day 13: Hanoi City Tour

Discover Hanoi on a city tour with a visit to the infamous Hanoi Hilton prison, bustling Old Quarter and tranquil Temple of Literature. In the Ho Chi Minh Quarter, see the Presidential Palace, One Pillar Pagoda and House on Stilts. This evening, enjoy a farewell group dinner.

Day 14: Hanoi

Day 1: Arrive Hanoi

On arrival in Hanoi, transfer to your hotel and enjoy free time until your tour briefing and

Day 2: Hanoi

Spend the day discovering Hanoi’s must-visit sites including the infamous Hoa Lo Prison and Don Xuan Market. Walk through the crowded streets of the city’s Old Quarter, pay a visit to the Temple of Literature and the historical St Joseph’s Cathedral before stopping by Hoan Kiem Lake, situated in the heart of the city and enjoying a wonderful afternoon nearby.

Day 3: Hanoi to Ninh Binh

Drive from Hanoi to Ninh Binh. With its natural beauty, shadowed by the many jungle covered karsts, visit the vine-covered structures of Hoa Lu. Venture through the expansive network of caverns and grottos in Trang An, as you glide along in a paddle boat. Enjoy your stay for the coming evening at the Ninh Binh Hidden Charm Hotel.

Day 4: Ninh Binh to Halong Bay

Drive from Ninh Binh to Halong Bay, one of Vietnam’s stunning natural wonders. Board abeautifully appointed junk boat and begin to cruise the impressive emerald waters of Halong Bay. Enjoy lunch before stopping to explore the many secluded corners of the bay. In the evening, retreat to your private cabin, or relax on the main deck or at the bar.

Day 5: Halong Bay To Hue

Rise early to enjoy a Tai Chi lesson on the sundeck, or choose to relax before feasting on a
delicious buffet brunch. After disembarkation, drive back to Hanoi for your onwards flight to the former imperial capital of Hue, situated on the banks of the Perfume River.

Day 6: Hue to Hoi An

Explore Hue city’s sites including Emperor Tu Duc’s elaborate tomb, Imperial Palace, the Ancient Citadel and Thien Mu Pagoda. From Hue, drive to Hoi An. This beloved ancient town will steal your heart with its breathtaking landscapes, unique culture and friendly locals.

7: Hoi An

Visit the technicolour Tam Thanh village that explodes with colour around every corner. Experience local life with a visit to the Thanh Dong Organic Farm and learn the traditional farming methods adopted by this village. Chat with the local farmers, take part in farming activities and gain a deeper understanding into the farm-to-table concept with ingredients for their meals harvested directly from the farm. In the afternoon, enjoy a guided walking tour to some of the main sites of Hoi An.

Day 8: Hoi An to Saigon – Cu Chi Tunnels

After breakfast, take a short drive to Danang to fly to Saigon. Upon arrival, transfer to your hotel for check-in. This afternoon continue your journey to the Cu Chi Tunnels. Discover the vast network of underground tunnels and their importance during the war. Return to Saigon and spend the evening at leisure.

Day 9: Saigon to Can Tho – Mekong Delta

From Saigon, travel south to the Mekong Delta and experience the vibrant scenes and rural villages of Vietnam’s ‘rice bowl’. Further explore the vast maze of rivers, canals and islands and the riverside villages as you make your way to Can Tho, the main city of the Mekong Delta.

Day 10: Can Tho to Saigon

Rise early to marvel at the vibrant scenes with a trip to visit the floating markets. Enjoy the leisurely boat trip along the river and get a glimpse of life along the shore line and the busy market stalls. Return to Saigon by mid-afternoon for check in to your hotel. This evening, join your group for a farewell dinner.

Day 11: Depart Saigon

Take part in a morning Saigon city guided walking tour. Uncover the rich history of this spirited city as you visit some of its main attractions – Notre Dame Cathedral, Post Office,
the Reunification Palace and the Municipal Theatre just to name a few. Enjoy these last moments in Saigon before you transfer to the airport for your onward journey.

Central Vietnam Highlights

A combination of Central Vietnam touring in the World Heritage Site of Hoi An and the ancient capital of Hue. You will marvel at the history and delight as you experience the local life. Day 1: Arrive Hue

Upon arrival at Hue Domestic Airport, you will be met and transferred to your hotel. The remainder of the afternoon is free at leisure.

Day 2: Hue

Take enjoy morning boat cruise on the peaceful Perfume River to visit the Thien Mu Pagoda and then drive to the poetic mausoleum of Emperor Tu Duc. In the afternoon, proceed to visit the Imperial Citadel and the Dong Ba Market. The spectacular Citadel (which was built in accordance to strict principles of geomancy) houses a series of palaces, ornate halls, libraries, residences and colleges.

Day 3: Hue – Hoi An

Drive along the coast via mountain passes to Hoi An with a stop en route at the photogenic village of Lang Co Beach. Visit the Cham Museum in Da Nang which houses the world’s finest collection of Cham artworks before proceed to Hoi An and to the Hoi An Beach Resort for check-in. The rest of the day is at your leisure to explore the town.

Day 4: Hoi An

Pay a visit to one of Hoi An’s famous lantern workshops. Learn how to make one yourself before setting out on a walking tour to explore this World Heritage City. Highlights include an ancient merchant house, the Phuc Kien Assembly Hall, the 400-year-old Japanese Covered Bridge and the vibrant riverside market. Take a peaceful boat trip on the Thu Bon River and afterwards enjoy free time to further explore the old town.

Day 5: Hoi An

In the morning, drive to the remarkable ruins of My Son located in a remote jungle valley. My Son was formerly the religious centre of the Cham Kingdom and is also a UNESCO World Heritage Site with more than 20 well-preserved monuments. Drive back to Hoi An in the afternoon.

Day 6: Depart Hoi An

Depending on your flight, you may have time at leisure before you will be transferred to Danang International Airport.
