This combined adventure offers you the opportunity to explore two fascinating tourist destinations in a varied and exciting trip: Cuba & Mexico. The Caribbean total round trip takes you to the major attractions of both countries; visit to the beautiful tobacco plantations in Cuba’s Vinales Valley and discover cities such as Trinidad and Cienfuegos, which are infused with colonial charm, before you dive into the world of the Maya at Chichen Itza and Tulum, which offer a fascinating glimpse into the past of Mexican civilization. Between city tours and excursions there will also be plenty of time to relax on the glorious, sprawling beaches that characterise this part of the world.

Day 1: Arrive Havana

Today you will arrive at Havana’s international airport. Meet and assist at the and transfer from the airport to the hotel for you. Spend the rest of the day exploring the picturesque old town of Havana or enjoying a cocktail in one of Havana’s typical Cuban bars.

Day 2: Havana

Today you will have a guided walking tour through Havana’s Old Town. The Old Town of Havana was declared a UNESCO world cultural heritage site in 1982. While strolling through the vibrant streets of the Cuban capital you can reminisce about days gone by. Look forward to visiting the Havana Club Rum Museum and driving through the “modern” part of Havana in the back of a classic car.

Day 3: Havana – Vinales

After breakfast you will head westward. You will stop and visit a “Casa del Veguero” (house of a tobacco farmer) surrounded by lush tobacco fields in the famous Vinales Valley. You will also visit the “Cueva del Indio”. Vinales is a small town situated between green tobacco fields and monumental limestone formations called ‘Mogotes’.

Day 4: Vinales – Cienfuegos

Today you will head to sunny Cienfuegos. Cienfuegos is one of the liveliest and most beautiful cities in Cuba. On your way, you will stop at the Bay of Pigs where you will go on a boat tour of the Laguna del Tresoro. This so-called ‘Treasure Lake’ is located amid numerous canals, mangrove forests and palm trees. Once you have arrived in Cienfuegos you can spend the rest of the day as you wish.

Day 5: Cienfuegos – Trinidad

Today’s journey will bring you to Trinidad. A colonial city which was founded in 1514 and declared world heritage site by the UNESCO. On your way to Trinidad you will go on an enjoyable excursion to El Cubano Park, which is located in the National Park of Topes de Collantes. Lunch will be served in a local restaurant.

Day 6: Trinidad

Start your day with a guided walking tour of exciting Trinidad. There is lots to see in the colonial old town of Trinidad, including the Palacio Brunet, one of the most beautiful palaces of the city. Today, the Palacio Brunet is home of the Museo Romantico. In the afternoon you will go on an excursion to the beach where you can enjoy the Caribbean Sea and relax under palm trees.

Day 7: Trinidad – Havana

In the morning you will head back to Havana. On the way, you will stop in Santa Clara, where you will visit the Che Guevara Mausoleum. Here rest the remains of the famous revolutionist, which were only found a few years ago. Enjoy your last evening in Havana as you see fit.

Day 8: Havana – Cancun – Chichen Itzaa

It’s time to bid farewell to beautiful Cuba. You will be driven to the airport where you will board your flight to Cancun. Somebody will be waiting for you at Cancun airport and when you arrive he/she will bring you to Chichen Itza. Unwind after your flight as you go on a sightseeing tour.

Day 9: Chichen Itza – Izamal – Mérida

Today you will get to experience an informative tour of the amazing archaeological site of Chichen Itza. After touring this remarkable ancient Mayan city you will continue to Izamal, a colonial city, which was declared “Pueblo Mágico“ (magical place). This is in honour of the city’s authenticity and beauty. Once you have arrived in Mérida you will discover the city.

Day 10: Mérida

Spend the day as you wish. There’s lots to do, but we recommended visiting the Uxmal ruins, one of the most visited Maya heritage sites, exploring the famous Cuzuma Cenotes, or going on an excursion to the Celestun national park.

Day 11: Mérida – Valladolid

Today you will drive to Valladolid, a colonial city, which is also classified as a “Pueblo Mágico“. During a guided city tour of this extraordinary city you will be shown the most important highlights. Valladolid is sure to enchant you.

Hotel: Maria de la Luz

Day 12: Valladolid – Tulum

Today you will go to the beautiful Cliffside Maya city of Tulum. There is a spectacular view of the ocean from this archaeological site. Take this opportunity to relax and enjoy the idyllic Caribbean coast.

Hotel: Wish Tulum

Day 13: Tulum – Playa del Carmen

Today’s destination is called Playa del Carmen. Spend the whole day at the beach if you like, swimming or relaxing in the shade. You can enjoy the evening in one of the town’s various bars and enjoy a typical Mexican drink.

Hotel: Playa del Carmen by H&A, 2 nights

Day 14: Playa del Carmen

Spend your last day entirely as you wish. Relax at the beach, go shopping or pick up some final souvenirs for friends and family at home. In the evening you will enjoy a delicious Mexican dinner and one of the town’s many delicious restaurants.

Day 15: Depart Playa del Carmen

Today your Cuba – Mexico Round-trip tour ends. Spend the morning at your leisure before heading to the international airport of Cancun.

Surprisingly Cuba

Day 1: Welcome to Havana

On arrival you will be met and transferred to your hotel.

Day 2: Havana

City tour to discover the delights of Old Havana followed by lunch at a local restaurant providing a good opportunity to mix with the locals. Afternoon vintage car ride.

Day 3: Havana – Vinales

Tourist bus to Vinales to explore the valley and visit the cigar factory.

Day 4: Vinales – Santa Clara – Cienfuegos

Morning transfer to Santa Clara known for its rich history relating to the Cuban Revolution. Afternoon transfer and overnight in Cienfuegos

Day 5: Cienfuegos – Trinidad

Morning city tour of Cienfuegos, the city often referred to as the ‘Pearl of the Caribbean. Transfer to Trinidad

Day 6: Trinidad

Half day tour of Trinidad. This tour takes you on a fantastic journey through this UNESCO World Heritage Site. Wander through the historic centre, rich with stunning colonial architecture, vibrant atmosphere and friendly people

Day 7: Trinidad

Hiking tour in Topes de Collantes Nature Reserve. Explore the Escambray mountain range categorised by steep peaks, deep valleys and exuberant vegetation. Visit the picturesque 60-metre waterfall of Caburni, followed by a refreshing cocktail and lunch.

Day 8: Trinidad – Camaguey

Transfer to bus station for your departure to Camaguey then afternoon city tour

Day 9: Camaguey – Santiago De Cuba

Afternoon bus transfer to Santiago de Cuba

Day 10: Santiago De Cuba

Morning walking tour exploring the imposing El Morro Castle, visit the exquisite colonial historic quarter and Cuba’s most sacred pilgrimage site, the Basilica, Cuba’s most sacred pilgrimage site.

Day 11: Santiago De Cuba

Day tour of the nearby mountains of Sierra Maestra.

Day 12: Camaguey – Baracoa

Bus transfer to Baracoa.

Day 13: Baracoa

Half day walking tour of Baracoa known for its natural landmarks and vibrant cultural scene.

Day 14: Baracoa – Havana

Morning flight back to Havana. Upon arrival transfer to your hotel.
