Day 1: Mexico City – Puebla – Oaxaca
Depart Mexico City, visit the gorgeously decorated Santa Maria Tonantzintla temple before reaching Puebla, “City of Angels”. Tour of Puebla before heading to Oaxaca.
Day 2: Oaxaca – Monte Alban – Mitla – Tule
Visit the Monte Alban archaeological zone to see the remains of Olmeca, Zapoteca and Mixteca cultures. Travel onto Mitla and stop at the Tule Tree, one of the largest living beings in the world. After city tour of Oaxaca.
Day 3: Oaxaca – Sumidero – San Cristobal
Early departure for Tuxtla Gutierrez , the capital city of the State of Chiapas. Travel by boat along the Sumidero Canyon, with its highest peak of 1000 metres. Pass by Chiapa de Corzo to admire the Mudejar style fountain before reaching San Cristobal.
Day 4: San Cristobal De La Casas
Explore local village life and customs such as archaic pagan-religious rites with trips to the typical Indian towns of San Juan Chamula and Zinacantan.
Day 5: San Cristobal De Las Casas – Agua Azul – Palenque
Head to Agua Azul Waterfalls to admire the turquoise colored waters and possibly stop at Misol-Ha, another beautiful waterfall before continuing to Palenque.
Day 6: Palenque – Campeche
Tour of Palenque, one of the most important Mayan archaeological sites, including King Pakal’s Tomb before arriving in Campeche.
Day 7: Campeche – Uxmal – Merida
Panoramic city tour of Campeche before visiting the ruins of Uxmal. Continue to Merida for a tour of “The White City”.
Day 8: Merida – Chichen Itza – Cancun
Discover the most famous Mayan site in Mexico, Chichen-Itza. Visit the sacred swimming hole ‘Ik Kil Cenote’ before a drop off in Cancun.

Day 1: Mexico City
On arrival you will be transferred to your hotel.
Day 2: Mexico City
City tour including the major sights such as the Zocola (main square), the National Palace, the Mexico City Metropolitan Cathedral, ruins of Templo mayor and Paseo de Reforma. A short stop at a Handicrafts centre, visit Chapultepec Forest. Lunch at the traditional ‘El Cardenal Restaurant’ for your first gastronomic experience of Mexican cuisine. Visit to the San Juan Market before visiting Celaya’s Candy store, one of the oldest candy stores in Mexico, to taste some of the famous Mexican sweets.
Day 3: Mexico City
Visit the Shrine of Guadalupe and the archaeological site of Teotihuacan to see the impressive Pyramids of the Sun, Moon and Quetzalcoatl. In the evening enjoy dinner at the historic Hacienda Los Morales to taste some traditional Mexican dishes. (Dinner paid locally).
Day 4: Mexico City
Today you explore the beautiful colonial neighbourhood, Coyoacan. Start with a guided tour of Frida Kahlo’s Museum, followed by a visit to a local bakery to savour traditional sweet bread. Venture to one of the many ‘Cantinas’ for true Mexican food and drinks. Afternoon visit to a handicraft and food market to tasts the famous ‘churros’ and hot chocolate.
Day 5: Mexico City – Puebla – Oaxaca
Departing Mexico City to Puebla visiting en route the archaeological site of Cholula. City tour of Puebla before stopping for lunch at the famous ‘Mole Poblano’ for the classic Mexican Mole, a rich chocolate -chilli sauce. Afternoon bus to Oaxaca. On arrival you will be transferred to your hotel.
Day 6: Oaxaca
Morning Oaxacan Cuisine class starting with a visit to the market to select fresh ingredients. Learn the secrets of Mexican cuisine by preparing a traditional meal from this region. In the afternoon visit to the City of Oaxaca. In the evening, transfer to the main square to enjoy the vibrant atmosphere of the city, before heading to ‘El Asado Don Vasco’ restaurant for a delicious Oaxacan style dinner.
Day 7: Oaxaca
Explore the ancient ruins of Monte Alban, one of the first cities built in the Americas constructed in 800 AD. During this visit see Ball Court, the Palace, the Observatory and the painted tombs of Oaxaca. Evening transfer to ‘La Casa de Cantera’ (Quarry House) to see the unique Guelaguetza dance.
Day 8: Depart Oaxaca
Transfer to the airport for your onward flight.

Day 2: Taxco – Morelia
Morning visit to Patzcuaro, built in 1534,the former capital of the Purepechan Kingdom. Visits include the Lady of Health, the House of the 11 patios, and the Vasco de Quiroga Square. Continue to Morelia.
