Day 1: Arrive Beijing
On arrival in Beijing, transfer to your hotel and enjoy free time until your tour briefing.

Day 2: Beijing
Walk the expanse of Tiananmen Square and walk to the marvellous Forbidden City on a full day city tour. Visit the beautiful gardens of Jinshan Park before venturing deep into the alleyways of Beijing known as ‘hutongs’ to observe the traditional way of life which has remained relatively unchanged for centuries.
Day 3: Beijing
Visit the iconic Temple of Heaven which stands 38 metres high and 30 metres in diameter. Continue to Panjiayuan Antique Market, Beijing’s largest market. After an included lunch, visit the ornate World Heritage Listed Summer Palace, where the Imperial family once spent the warmer months, and discover its temples, pavilions and decorated corridors that were home to China’s ruling families.
Day 4: Beijing
Visit one of the world’s most famous man-made sites, the Great Wall of China. At Mutianyu, a less crowded section of the wall, travel by cable car up to the wall and enjoy exploring independently. This evening, enjoy a farewell group dinner of world famous Peking duck.
Day 5: Beijing to Xian
Travel by high-speed train to Xian. This evening, join an optional dumpling banquet to sample the different flavours these little bundles of food joy come in.

Day 6: Xian
On a full day tour of Xian, discover the city’s highlights. Drive to the Army of Terracotta Warriors and marvel at the spectacular scenes of countless life-size warriors. Yongxingfang as you take in the lively street markets and exotic local foods.
Day 7: Xian to Chengdu
Take the high speed train to Chengdu and visit the Giant Panda Research & Breeding Base to see the countries cutest residents before immersing yourself in the local life of bustling People’s Park by joining the locals for a cup of tea in a teahouse as you watch a game of mahjong.

Day 8: Chengdu
From Chengdu, drive south to Leshan to see the World Heritage Listed Giant Buddha, also known as Da Fo – the largest Buddha statue in the world. Cruise past this amazing structure for some great views. Drive to an ancient village before visiting a tea plantation to see China’s best known export being picked high in the mountains. Experience the atmospheric night market before enjoying the spicy flavours of a traditional Sichuan hotpot feast
Day 9: Chengdu to Longsheng
TFly to Guilin and drive to Ping An in Longsheng. Stay overnight in a lodge overlooking the famous Dragon’s Backbone Rice Terrace.

Day 10: Longsheng to Guilin
In Longsheng, admire some of China’s most stunning scenery with row upon row of rice terraces clinging precariously to the slopes of neighbouring mountain peaks and valleys. Enjoy a simple lunch at a local farmer’s restaurant before driving to Guilin.
Day 11: Guilin to Yangshuo
Cruise along the Li River with stunning limestone karsts towering above the river. Arrive in Yangshuo and spend the afternoon enjoying the colourful atmosphere of this enchanting town.

Day 12: Yangshuo
Venture to the farmlands surrounding Yangshuo for a fascinating village experience and help the farmers pick fresh vegetables to be used in your lunch. In the afternoon, ride a tranquil bamboo raft along the Yulong River. This evening, you have the option of joining a cooking class and preparing local dishes for dinner.
Day 13: Yangshuo to Hong Kong
Transfer to Hong Kong by high speed train and enjoy an evening at leisure to experience this vibrant cities sights, sounds and tastes.s.

Day 14: Hong Kong
Enjoy a half day tour exploring Hong Kong Island. Visit famous Victoria Peak for breathtaking panoramas of Victoria Harbour before continuing to sun-drenched Repulse Bay to take in the relaxed beachside atmosphere of Kwun Yum Temple. Discover the floating villages of Aberdeen during a sampan ride to see locals living on the fishing junks. This afternoon, enjoy free time.
Day 15: Depart Hong Kong
