This unique 10 Day Delta to Desert private journey showcases Botswana in all its magnificence. You’ll experience the wilds of the Linyanti Reserve, where game viewing is hard core, the wetlands of the pristine Okavango Delta, and the extraordinary desert experience of the remote Makgadikgadi salt pans. See big game in huge numbers, as well as the smaller more elusive species, and at the end of each adventurous day retire to the sublime comforts of our hand-picked camps and lodges.

Day 1: Arrive Maun – Linyanti Reserve

A&K welcome to Botswana where you are met and assisted to your light aircraft flight to Savuti Camp, positioned along the Savute Channel in the private Linyanti Concession. This wild, unfenced wildlife sanctuary is well known for its large number of predators including lion and African wild dog, plains game as well as huge elephant herds. Before your first game viewing activity this afternoon, settle into your accommodation, featuring seven classic spacious, canvas tents raised on wooden decks with a large private veranda for your own private slice of Africa.

Days 2 & 3: Linyanti Reserve

Setting out at dawn, when predators are active, guides are as keen as guests to discover the riches of each day. Once the sun is high and strong, retreat with the herds to camp. Then, as the sun begins to wane, head out late afternoon in search of nocturnal wildlife and the action that comes with sunset. Short guided walks from camp are offered as well.

Day 4: Linyanti Reserve – Okavango Delta

Fly to the Okavango Delta with its network of lagoons, channels, palm islands and floodplains. Your base is the elegant Qorokwe Camp, one of Botswana’s newest luxury safari camps set in a high-density game area of the southern-eastern Okavango bordering the renowned Moremi Game Reserve.

Day 5: Okavango Delta

A full day spent exploring the spectacular Okavango Delta and its wildlife with an expert guide on hand. Exploring Qorokwe reveals a world of diverse Delta Habitats supporting a wealth of wildlife.

Day 6: Okavango Delta

Venture out on Safari twice daily in this spectacular part of the Okavango Delta by 4WD, boat and mokoro with expert guides always on hand.

Day 7: Okavango Delta – Makgadikgadi Pans

Leave the wetlands behind and fly to the remote Makgadikgadi Pans National Park, the largest saltpan in the world. Your elegant 1940’s style safari accommodation, Jack’s Camp is an oasis of style and comfort in the middle of Botswana’s Kalahari Desert located in a beautiful palm grove.

Day 8: Makgadikgadi Pans

Spend the next two days exploring a relic of one of the world’s largest super lakes, the Makgadikgadi, which dried up thousands of years ago. Included in your stay is a 20 minute helicopter flight to view the dramatic Makgadikgadi from above.

Days 9: Makgadikgadi Pans

Travelling by 4WD quad bike (seasonal), you will be able to explore remote archaeological sites including fossil beds of extinct species. A safari here is a complete desert experience focusing on species unique to the area such as aardvark, gemsbuck and springbuck. It is the only place where you are virtually guaranteed to see the rare and elusive brown hyena and interact with a gang of habituated but wild meerkats.

Day 11: Depart Makgadikgadi Pans

Fly to Maun airport where your safari ends
