Day 1: Journey to Stonehenge, Bath and Exeter

The rolling green and golden landscapes of rural Wiltshire provide a stunning backdrop for our scenic drive to Salisbury Plain this morning. We tread in the footsteps of druids and pagans at Stonehenge before travelling to UNESCO listed Bath, with its elegant Georgian façades and the centuries-old Roman Baths. Our home for the next two nights is the historic cathedral city of Exeter where we will enjoy a memorable Welcome Reception this evening at our hotel.

Day 2: Plymouth and More in the Southwest

Our first stop today is in the ancient port city of Plymouth, where we’ll delve into the history of the brave Pilgrim Fathers who set sail for an unknown New World from its shores. See the Royal Citadel overlooking Plymouth Sound and consider an optional cruise around the dramatic coastline. We take a step back in time at our next stop, the fishing village and artists’ retreat of Polperro. Continuing along the brooding moorland of Dartmoor, we arrive at Buckfast Abbey, where we’ll Dive Into Culture and gain insights into how Benedictine monks have lived and prayed for over 1,000 years.

Day 3: Onwards to Glastonbury and Cardiff

Enjoy a scenic drive through the pretty Devon and Somerset countryside to mystical Glastonbury, where we’ll visit the ruined Abbey, said to be the final resting place of King Arthur. Later, we Connect With Locals, joining the Dyer family for lunch on their 15th-century dairy farm in Somerset for a Be My Guest experience. We journey to Cardiff, the capital of Wales, where we’ll explore the proud heritage of the Welsh and modern icons, including the Principality Stadium during an orientation tour.

Day 4: Explore Tudor History and on to Liverpool

Tudor history is explored this morning as we visit the historic towns of Ludlow and Chester with their characteristic black and white half-timbered buildings. Join your Travel Director for an orientation walk past these famous Tudor Rows and enjoy views of Chester’s medieval city walls and red sandstone Cathedral. The haunt of the ‘Fab Four’ is our final stop today. Join a Local Specialist to gain insight into Liverpool’s Beatles’ history and enjoy a free evening in one of Britain’s edgiest cities.

Day 5: Venture to the Romantic Lake District and on to Glasgow

Rolling Lancashire pastures give way to the soul-stirring Lake District, whose beautiful scenery has inspired poets and writers for centuries. We travel along the shores of Lake Windermere, through countryside made famous by the poet William Wordsworth. Stop in Gretna Green, where many an eloping couple have tied the knot. We arrive in Glasgow later for an orientation tour, including views of the Cathedral, magnificent George Square and the Clyde River, the former heart of the shipbuilding industry. This evening, enjoy a Regional Dinner in a local restaurant.

Day 6: On to Fort William and the Scottish Highlands

Journey along Loch Lomond, whose bonnie banks were immortalised in the well-known Scottish song. We arrive in Glencoe and remember the MacDonald clansmen who died tragically in the 1692 massacre which led this place to be called the ‘Glen of Weeping’. At the World War II Commando Memorial near Fort William, we admire views of Britain’s highest mountain, Ben Nevis. Our day in beautiful surrounds comes to an end with a cosy dinner at our hotel located within the Cairngorms National Park in the Scottish Highlands.

Day 7: Discover the Isle of Skye

We travel to the coast this morning to the Isle of Skye where a Local Specialist will take us on a journey to view the remarkable Cuillin Mountains. Against the backdrop of heather-clad mountains, we stop at the ancient settlement of Kyleakin. Later, we cross back to view scenic Eilean Donan Castle on the mainland. Travel through the Scottish Highlands past its picturesque lochs and glens, keeping your camera at the ready to capture ‘Nessie’ if you can.

Day 8: Journey to Enchanting Edinburgh

Heading back to the lowlands of Scotland, we stop in Pitlochry before heading to the historic home of golf, St. Andrews. Here, the first games were played during the 1400s. See its famous 18th hole before crossing the Firth of Forth to Scotland’s enchanting capital, Edinburgh. Tickets to see the spectacular Edinburgh Tattoo are included on departures that coincide with performance dates.

Day 9: Uncover Edinburgh’s Treasures

Ramble up the Royal Mile today and see the iconic sights of one of Britain’s most enchanting cities. The elegant Palace of Holyroodhouse, in the shadow of Arthur’s Seat, and the Scottish Parliament feature on your sightseeing tour with a Local Specialist. Visit Edinburgh Castle perched atop Castle Rock overlooking the city. Admire the elegant Georgian architecture in the New Town and amble through the hidden passages of the Old Town before enjoying an evening at leisure. Consider an Optional Experience including traditional song, dance and Scottish fare.

Day 10: Continue to York

We travel to the medieval market town of Alnwick this morning, where we’ll see the impressive castle home to the Duke of Northumberland and the Tenantry Column, upon which the Percy Lion sits and surveys the town. Journey through Northumberland to the cathedral city of York. We’ll embark an orientation walk past its cobblestone Shambles and see the inspiring Minster with its ‘heart of Yorkshire’ before joining our newfound friends for a Farewell Dinner.

Day 11: Onwards to Shakespeare’s Stratford-upon-Avon and London

Shakespeare’s legacy and life are celebrated in his home town of Stratford-upon-Avon, which we will have an opportunity to visit today on our return to London. See Anne Hathaway’s thatched cottage and visit Shakespeare’s Birthplace and Visitor Centre. Later, we travel back to London where our amazing holiday comes to an end.

Day 1: Journey to Stonehenge and on to Plymouth

Journey west where you’ll ponder the myths of the ancient mystical monoliths at Stonehenge which remain largely unsolved to to this day. Continuing through Devon, arrive in the historic naval port of Plymouth, your home for the next two nights.

Day 2: Discover the Cornish Peninsula

Embark on an orientation tour and see the Royal Citadel and Mayflower Steps. Explore the Cornish peninsula and visit the seaside villages of Looe and Polperro.

Day 3: Soak up Bath and off to Cardiff

Arriving in Bath, we admire the city’s stylish Georgian façades and ancient Roman Baths from which it derives its name. We continue to the vibrant Welsh capital, Cardiff, where we’ll have a free evening to enjoy this modern city’s proud heritage.

Day 4: Cross the Irish Sea to Waterford

This morning, we explore Cardiff’s iconic sights – the Principality Stadium, Millennium Centre and Victorian fantasy castle before crossing the Irish Sea to Waterford, most famous for the delicate crystal that graces elegant homes the world over. This evening we dine in our hotel.

Day 5: Onwards to Blarney and Killarney

Our first stop today is at the House of Waterford Crystal where we Dive Into Culture, watching a demonstration with master craftsmen. In pursuit of the ‘gift of the gab’, we journey to Blarney Castle where you’ll have the chance to kiss the Blarney Stone, before arriving later in picturesque Killarney.

Day 6: A Day on the Ring of Kerry

Ireland’s enduring natural beauty accompanies our leisurely drive circling the enchanting Ring of Kerry. We pass the fishing village of Waterville, Moll’s Gap and the Black Valley – renowned for being the last place in Ireland without power and telephone networks.

Day 7: Off to Limerick, the Majestic Cliffs of Moher and Galway

We stop in Limerick and view St. Mary’s Cathedral, the Treaty Stone and King John’s Castle. Our next stop is the magnificent Cliffs of Moher which plunge into the Atlantic, before arriving in Galway, where we’ll spend the night.

Day 8: Venture into County Donegal

This morning see the great stone Galway Cathedral and stroll through Eyre Square, a tribute to former US president John F. Kennedy, who visited Galway in 1963. Enjoy an orientation of Sligo on your way to Donegal to see its 15th-century castle and explore the city your way before dining at your hotel.

Day 9: Explore Londonderry, the Giant’s Causeway and Belfast

We cross the Irish border into Northern Ireland, joining a Local Specialist in Londonderry to stroll along its 17th-century city walls. See the street murals of the Bogside before continuing to the mythical stepping stones of the Giant’s Causeway. Our visit to the haunt of Finn McCool will Make Travel Matter by helping conserve this iconic natural landmark. Our final stop today is in Belfast, where we’ll enjoy an orientation, followed by free time to explore the capital city’s sights.

Day 10: On the road to Dublin

We spend the morning with a Local Specialist ‘Cabbie’ who will take us on a journey through the recent history of Belfast in their taxi. Heading south to Dublin later, we see St. Patrick’s Cathedral and other iconic sights in the company of a Local Specialist. Tonight, consider an Optional Experience to enjoy the rousing sounds and warm hospitality of a traditional Irish Cabaret performance.

Day 11: See the Sights of Dublin

Beat the crowds and gain entry to the Guinness Storehouse before general admission. Here you’ll Dive Into Culture and embark on a tour and tasting technique demonstration. The rest of the day is yours to explore the Irish capital. Amble along Grafton Street with its colourful performers, head to Temple Bar or stroll through Phoenix Park, Dublin’s playground.

Day 12: Ferry across to Historic Chester and Liverpool

Cross the Irish Sea to Wales and continue to the ancient town of Chester, where your orientation tour will take you past its Roman walls and famous half-timbered Tudor Rows. Later, we head to the haunt of the ‘Fab Four’, edgy Liverpool, where we’ll spend the night.

Day 13: Continue to the Beautiful Lake District

Head north to the idyllic Lake District, which has inspired poets and writers for centuries, and admire the spectacular surrounds of Lake Windermere.

Day 14: Journey North to Glasgow

The runaway wedding capital, Gretna Green is our first stop today, where we’ll tread in the footsteps of eloping couples who would take their vows over the Marriage Anvil. We arrive in Glasgow for an orientation tour including views of the Cathedral and magnificent George Square, lined with statues of Great Britain’s most celebrated sons. We visit Falkirk Wheel where you’ll Dive into Culture learning about the legacy of Scotland’s canals and experience the world’s only rotating boat lift.

Day 15: Over the Sea to Skye

Journey past the site of the tragic 1692 massacre at Glencoe, known as the ‘Glen of the Weeping’ and see Britain’s highest mountain – Ben Nevis. We’ll view the 13th-century Eilean Donan Castle, where three lochs meet, before visiting the Isle of Skye.

Day 16: The Sights of Loch Ness and Culloden in the Scottish Highlands

Travel through the scenic Scottish Highlands via Glen Shiel and along the banks of Loch Ness, home to the mythical monster affectionately known as ‘Nessie’. View the site of the bloody Battle of Culloden, where Bonnie Prince Charlie and his army of Jacobites were defeated in 1746.

Day 17: Onwards to Edinburgh

Day 3: Discover Enchanting Edinburgh

Join your Local Specialist this morning for a sightseeing tour through ‘Auld Reekie’s’ elegant New Town, Princes Street and the Royal Mile, enjoying views of the exquisite Palace of Holyroodhouse and Arthur’s Seat. Embark on a guided visit of Edinburgh Castle, perched atop Castle Rock. Later, consider a traditional Scottish night out this evening, savouring up the flavours of haggis and exhilarating sounds of bagpipes which fill the air.

Day 4: Venture into the Scottish Highlands

Today, we travel across the Firth of Forth to St. Andrews to view its celebrated ancient university and explore centuries of golf heritage. Our next stop is Pitlochry on the banks of the Tummel River. You could choose to join an Optional Experience to visit Blair Castle, the ancestral home to the Dukes of Atholl. We continue to the Scottish Highlands, our home for two nights.

Day 5: Explore the Isle of Skye

Drive to the rugged coast of Scotland this morning, passing scenic Eilean Donan Castle. We cross to the Isle of Skye, admiring the spectacular scenery of the ‘Garden of Skye’ before enjoying free time for lunch. A Local Specialist will take us on a journey to admire the remarkable Cuillin Mountain. Cross back to the mainland and continue past the lochs and glens of the Scottish Highlands.

Day 6: Onwards to Loch Lomond and Glasgow’s Rich Legacy

Our first stop today is the World War II Commando Memorial, near Fort William, for views of Britain’s highest mountain, Ben Nevis. Continue south through the ‘Glen of Weeping’, paying tribute to the MacDonald clansmen who were massacred for failing to pledge allegiance to Scotland’s new monarchs. Arriving in Glasgow, we enjoy an orientation tour including views of the Cathedral and magnificent George Square. We’ll also visit the Necropolis where we’ll Dive Into Culture and gain insights into one of Europe’s most important 19th-century burial grounds.

Day 7: Through the Lake District to Liverpool

Cross the border into England and Connect With Locals, joining farmer John and his wife Christine on their Cumbrian working farm for a Be My Guest experience. Learn about traditional farming methods and enjoy lunch before continuing your journey through the beautiful Lake District and its landscapes that have inspired poets and painters for centuries. See Lake Windermere, England’s largest lake, before travelling to Liverpool, the haunt of Britain’s ‘Fab Four’.

Day 8: Across the Irish Sea to Dublin

The half-timbered Tudor Rows in Chester are our first stop today as we travel to Holyhead in North Wales to catch our ferry across the Irish Sea to Dublin. Soak up Irish hospitality and delicious local flavours during a Regional Dinner at EPIC – the Irish Emigration Museum.

Day 9: Admire Dublin’s Iconic Sights

Visit the Guinness Storehouse to learn about Ireland’s famous brew, before delving into Dublin’s iconic sights with a Local Specialist. See Trinity College, St. Patrick’s Cathedral and the stately Georgian Squares. Enjoy the rest of the day at leisure or consider an Optional Experience at an Irish Cabaret.

Day 10: On to Galway and Limerick

Journey to the West Coast and the vibrant cultural centre of Galway, where you will have an opportunity to see Galway Cathedral and Eyre Square, with its tribute to former US president John F. Kennedy, before travelling to Limerick.

Day 11: Circle the Ring of Kerry and on to Cork

Admire Ireland’s enduring scenic beauty on one of the most beautiful drives in the world, circling the spectacular Ring of Kerry. Later, we check into our Stays With Stories accommodation, the historic Maldron Shandon Hotel. Originally Cork’s first general hospital opened in 1720, the building has a colourful history that has seen it survive wars, political upheaval, fire and calls for it to be demolished before it opened its doors as a grand hotel.

Day 12: The Sights of Blarney, Waterford and Wexford

In the pursuit of acquiring the ‘gift of the gab’, we visit Blarney Castle where you might kiss the famous Blarney Stone, before stopping in Cobh for a walking tour with a Local Specialist. This seaside city was the final port of call for the tragic Titanic on its fateful voyage. This afternoon, we Dive Into Culture during a visit to the House of Waterford Crystal and witness talented master craftsmen at work.

Day 13: Ferry across to Cardiff

We cross the Irish Sea to Wales and its capital, Cardiff, where we will see the Principality Stadium and view the Millennium Centre, National Assembly and Cardiff Castle.

Day 14: Enjoy Bath, Glastonbury and Plymouth

Cross the Severn Estuary to Bath, so named for the ancient Roman Baths that have made the city a popular retreat for centuries. Admire the elegant Georgian façades and visit the Roman Baths, before some free time to explore on your own. We wind our way to mystical Glastonbury to visit the 7th-century Abbey where King Arthur is believed to be buried. Later, we arrive in the city of Plymouth, our home for two nights.

Day 15: A Day Exploring Coastal Villages

The springboard to a ‘New World’ takes centre stage as we start our day with an orientation of Plymouth. View the Mayflower Steps, where brave pilgrims embarked on their epic voyage to America, and see the Royal Citadel overlooking Plymouth Sound. Visit the fishing village of Polperro with its narrow streets and picturesque harbour, before enjoying a scenic drive through the brooding landscapes of Dartmoor, keeping a keen eye out for the area’s wild ponies. Our epic adventure through Britain and Ireland almost at its end, we join our travel companions and Travel Director for a memorable Farewell Dinner.

Day 16: Journey to Prehistoric Stonehenge and return to London

Our return journey to London will see us cross the Salisbury Plain and visit the ancient mystical monoliths of Stonehenge, whose myths have yet to be fully revealed. This afternoon we close the curtain on a memorable journey with new friends.

Day 1: Welcome to Dublin

Explore the Celtic heritage and hospitality of Ireland and Scotland on this grand adventure through beautiful landscapes and enchanting cities. Our first day sees us delve into the whimsy of the Irish capital, before joining our fellow travellers and Travel Director for a Welcome Reception.

Day 2: Discover Diverse Dublin

Drive through the streets of Dublin, joining your Local Specialist for a sightseeing tour past the stately Georgian Squares and St. Patrick’s Cathedral, the tallest church in Ireland. Enjoy a leisurely day exploring the city. Stop for a pint of ‘the Black Stuff’ in Temple Bar, admire the colourful performers on Grafton Street or consider joining an Optional Experience this evening to tap your feet to the lively sounds of Irish music at an Irish cabaret.

Day 3: Journey to Waterford

Dive Into Culture and gain insights into Ireland’s strong tradition of breeding world-class thoroughbreds at the Irish National Stud. Enjoy a guided walk admiring the powerful steeds that have made racing history and stroll around the tranquil Japanese gardens. We travel to the House of Waterford Crystal this afternoon and Dive Into Culture yet again to witness this delicate craft, watching talented master craftsmen at work in their workshop.

Day 4: Onwards to Blarney and Killarney

Maybe, bend over backwards and kiss the Blarney Stone to acquire the ‘gift of the gab’ before crossing the Kerry Mountains to County Kerry. We journey to 1930s Ireland this evening, visiting the working farms of Muckross, where we’ll learn about traditional farming and meet the families who ply the land. Connect With Locals over dinner at a Be My Guest experience, savouring delicious local flavours in the Quilles Farmhouse against the scenic backdrop of the lakes of Killarney.

Day 5: A Day on the Ring of Kerry

The astounding beauty of Iveragh Peninsula accompanies us on this soul-stirring coastal journey around the ‘Ring of Kerry’ – a dramatic landscape of mountains, loughs and lakes which have inspired writers and poets for centuries. See Daniel O’Connell’s Cahirciveen, the fishing village of Waterville, the Black Valley and Moll’s Gap with the Macgillycuddy’s Reeks peaks in the distance.

Day 6: Continue to Galway and Coastal Enniscrone

Drive to Adare, one of Ireland’s prettiest villages, known for its thatched cottages. The imposing stone cathedral, built on the site of an old prison and Eyre Square on our next stop in Galway, where we’ll enjoy some free time to explore the city before continuing our journey northward. This evening we dine in our hotel.

Day 7: Off to Donegal and on to Londonderry

Head north to Donegal with its ‘Diamond’ centre before joining a Local Specialist in Derry/Londonderry to stroll along its 17th-century walls. See the ‘Troubles’ neighbourhood of Bogside, with its murals depicting the battles of that time.

Day 8: Admire the Giant’s Causeway and on to Belfast

Tread in the footsteps of Finn MacCool and along the other-worldly Giant’s Causeway ‘steps’ that descend into the sea. Your visit will Make A Difference by helping to conserve this iconic landmark. We arrive in Belfast later and visit the Titanic Belfast Experience where we’ll Dive Into Culture and gain insights into the tragic story of the famous ship that met its end in the Atlantic. The rest of the evening is yours to enjoy the vibrant nightlife of the capital of Northern Ireland.

Day 9: Cross the Irish Sea to Glasgow

Join your Local Specialist in Belfast this morning for an included city tour which will take you to Queen’s University and the Baroque Revival-style City Hall. We board our ferry at Larne and cross to Cairnryan in Scotland, driving through the Ayrshire countryside bound for Glasgow, our home for the next two nights.

Day 10: Discover Glasgow’s Rich Legacy

Delve into Scotland’s intriguing cultural capital and stroll through the toon to admire views of George Square and the River Clyde, once the heart of Scotland’s shipbuilding industry. We head to whisky country next, visiting the beautiful Glengoyne whisky distillery where we’ll Dive Into Culture and learn how to make Scotland’s favourite honey-coloured drink with a chance to sample a wee dram. Our hearts warmed, we return to Glasgow for some free time to explore the city.

Day 11: Continue Over the Sea to Skye

Loch Lomond to the tragic site of the 1692 massacre of the MacDonalds at the ‘Glen of Weeping’. Continue to Fort William at the foot of Britain’s highest mountain, Ben Nevis. Then, cross to the Isle of Skye, where we’ll spend this evening dining in our hotel.

Day 12: Venture to Loch Ness and Culloden in the Scottish Highlands

We leave the rugged beauty of Skye behind and venture to the site where three lochs meet. View Eilean Donan Castle before travelling along the banks of Loch Ness in search of the elusive monster that bears its name. The bloody battlefield of Culloden is our next stop, where we spend a poignant moment reflecting on the many men who lost their lives in the brief but brutal battle between the Redcoats and Bonnie Prince Charlie’s Jacobites. This evening we spend the evening dining at our hotel in the Scottish Highlands.

Day 13: Journey to Enchanting Edinburgh

Traversing the dramatic landscapes of the Scottish Highlands, we pass Pitlochry before arriving in St. Andrews to see its famous golf course on which golfing greats have clamoured to play for centuries. We cross the scenic Firth of Forth to enchanting Edinburgh, our home for the next two nights. Perhaps, take to the streets of the Scottish capital this evening, soaking up its warmth and conviviality with an evening of traditional dance, music and Scottish fare. Tickets to see the spectacular Edinburgh Tattoo are included on departures that coincide with performance dates.

Day 14: Uncover Edinburgh’s Treasures

Join your Local Specialist for a guided sightseeing tour which includes a visit to Edinburgh Castle, surveying the city from imposing Castle Rock. See the Royal Mile, the elegant Palace of Holyrood in the shadow of Arthur’s Seat, and the new Scottish Parliament building. As our memorable holiday comes to an end, we join our Travel Director and fellow travellers for a Farewell Dinner to reminisce over shared experiences.

Day 15: Farewell Edinburgh

For now it’s time to say a fond farewell to Scotland and our newfound friends, at the end of an unforgettable Celtic sojourn.

Day 1: Journey to Stratford-upon-Avon and on to York

Indulge your love of theatre and poetry this morning as we travel to romantic Stratford-upon-Avon, made famous by its favourite son, William Shakespeare, whose extraordinary works have been admired by audiences for over 500 years. View Anne Hathaway’s thatched cottage and visit Shakespeare’s Birthplace and Visitor Centre for insights into the life of the ‘Bard of Avon’, before exploring the charming cobblestone streets of his hometown. Continue to the ancient cathedral city of York where we will enjoy an orientation walk to view its ancient city walls, picturesque Shambles and magnificent 800-year-old Minster. Join your Travel Director and fellow travel companions this evening for a memorable Welcome Reception and delicious local pub fare.

Day 2: Cross Hadrian’s Wall and onwards to Edinburgh

We venture north to the medieval riverside town of Durham, whose exquisite 11th-century Durham Cathedral sits imposingly alongside Durham Castle watching over the medieval streets below. We cross what was once the northern frontier of the Roman Empire, Hadrian’s Wall, before enjoying a scenic drive through the soul-stirring landscapes of Northumberland National Park. Admire spectacular views of the windswept Cheviot Hills as you cross the Scottish border, stopping to admire the 12th-century ruins of Jedburgh Abbey en route to Edinburgh.

Day 3: Discover Enchanting Edinburgh

Fall in love with the enchanting city of Edinburgh as you join a Local Specialist to discover what lies behind its medieval façades. Ramble up the Royal Mile and enjoy astounding views of the Palace of Holyroodhouse and the Scottish Parliament. Visit Edinburgh Castle perched atop Castle Rock overlooking the city. Spend some free time this afternoon strolling through Edinburgh and admiring medieval relics. Tickets to see the spectacular Edinburgh Tattoo are included on departures that coincide with performance dates.

Day 4: Venture into the Scottish Highlands

Cross the Firth of Forth to the ancient Kingdom of Fife and St. Andrews. This famous golf course is renowned for its 18th hole and 700-year-old Swilcan Bridge. We continue our journey into the dramatic Scottish Highlands, where we’ll Dive Into Culture at a whisky distillery and sample a wee dram. Visit picture-perfect Pitlochry, on the edge of the Ben-Y-Vrackie and Cairngorms National Park, before arriving at your hotel in the Scottish Highlands where you’ll dine tonight.

Day 5: Onwards to Loch Lomond and Glasgow’s Rich Legacy

The arresting natural beauty of the Scottish Highlands provides a stunning backdrop for today’s leisurely drive to Glasgow. View the World War II Commando Memorial at Spean Bridge and admire views of Britain’s highest mountain – Ben Nevis. See Glencoe, the site of a bloody massacre in 1692 following the Jacobite Uprising, and travel to the ‘bonnie’ banks of Scotland’s prettiest loch, Loch Lomond. We arrive in Glasgow this afternoon where our orientation will take us past St. Mungo’s Cathedral and George Square, lined with statues and monuments dedicated to famous British subjects, including Robert Burns and Sir Robert Peel.

Day 6: Explore the Lake District and Journey to Liverpool

Today’s first stop is in the runaway wedding capital, Gretna Green where eloping couples would make their vows over the Marriage Anvil. Returning to England, we Connect With Locals, joining farmer John and his wife Christine for lunch at a Be My Guest experience in the company of Highland cows. See beautiful Lake District landscapes and skirt the romantic shores of Lake Windermere, the largest lake in England, arriving in edgy Liverpool of ‘Fab Four’ fame for an evening at leisure.

Day 7: Through the Beautiful Welsh Countryside to Discover Bristol

Traverse the pretty Welsh countryside this morning and stop in an area of outstanding natural beauty – the Wye Valley, with its characteristic limestone gorge scenery and dense woodlands. Visit the Shropshire market town of Ludlow with some time to explore on your own before arriving in Bristol to see the Clifton Suspension Bridge and SS Great Britain, the world’s first ocean-going luxury liner. As the curtain comes down on a memorable journey through England and Scotland, we enjoy a Farewell Dinner in a local restaurant with our Travel Director and newfound friends.

Day 8: Soak up Bath and Stonehenge then off to London

Returning to London, we visit the UNESCO-listed city of Bath to admire its elegant Georgian façades and the Roman Baths from which the city takes its name. Emerging from the Salisbury Plain, the imposing monoliths of Stonehenge are our final stop before continuing through the lush Wiltshire and Hampshire landscapes to London, where our amazing holiday comes to an end.
