Day 1: Arrive Cape Town
Be met at Cape Town International Airport on arrival and transfer to Table Bay Hotel at the V&A Waterfront to start your 23 Day Great Game Parks Adventure. The remainder of the date is free at leisure

Day 2: Cape Town
Today you will ride the aerial cableway to the top of Table Mountain for spectacular views, then stop by the Castle of Good Hope.

Constantia Winelands: Pay a visit to the Cape Winelands region, the largest wine region in South Africa. During your tour, get acquainted with the region’s famous wines and beautiful landscapes.
Robben Island: Visit the island and tour the site where Nelson Mandela was imprisoned. Learn about the island’s history and see where thousands of freedom fighters were incarcerated.
Township tour: Escorted by a local guide, learn about life for those who live in the ‘shanty’ towns of Cape Town
FREEDOM OF CHOICE DINING: Tonight, choose from a selection of local restaurants.
Meloncino: Meloncino boasts Italian Food in traditional Roman style with a slight modern flair. With guaranteed hearty flavours, this is a satisfying dining experience.
Sevruga Restaurant: With a menu that features fresh sushi, Sevruga is a modern seafood restaurant which specialises in offering a range of tantalising flavours sure to tempt your tastebuds.
Den Anker: Experience the flavours of Belgium situated on the beautiful V&A Waterfront. Enjoy seasonal delicacies with a focus of fresh seafood, including local specialities.
Day 3: Cape Town, Cape Peninsula
Journey along the coastal Chapman’s Peak Drive to Cape Point, a nature reserve within Table Mountain National Park. Take in the majestic South African beach scenery before continuing on to historic Simon’s Town which has been an important naval base for more than 200 years. Nearby Simon’s Town is Boulders Beach. Make a visit here and see a colony of penguins up close.
Day 4: Cape Town – Kruger National Park
This morning, board your plane and fly from Cape Town to Kruger National Park, where you enter the private Ngala Reserve. Settle in to your accommodation and enjoy the scenery as you relax with sundowner drinks.

Day 5: Kruger National Park
Rise early before heading out on a morning game drive with experienced trackers. It’s then back to your lodge for some time to relax and enjoy lunch before setting off on another game drive this afternoon. During both drives you’ll experience incredible encounters with Africa’s Big Five. Your day ends with an intimate boma dinner under the stars as you enjoy the sounds of the bush. The majestic setting provides a perfect conclusion to your incredible Kruger National Park experience.
Day 6: Kruger National Park – Johannesburg
Fly to Johannesburg where you will stay overnight before heading to Botswana.

Day 7: Johannesburg – Kasane – Chobe River National Park – Chobe River
Fly to Kasane in Botswana, then travel by coach and boat into Namibia where you will stay on the banks of the Chobe in your own luxurious villa. Over the next two days, watch for wildlife along the shore line. Take time to relax with sundowners on your balcony at sunset before enjoying your evening meal.

Day 8: Chobe River, Chobe River National Park
Wake to a beautiful sunrise overlooking the Chobe River as you prepare for a superb day of viewing animals on a safari boat ride or a 4WD game drive. In the afternoon, seize the opportunity of taking a boat cruise on the Chobe River, as you enjoy a majestic sunset on the water.
Day 9: Livingstone, Victoria Falls
Enter Zambia and transfer to your hotel. Today you can relax and enjoy the close proximity of the falls with views from your hotel or take a leisurely walk to the falls. Enjoy the evening at leisure.

Day 10: Livingstone

This evening, board the elegant Royal Livingstone Express for dinner and sublime views of the dramatic falls.
Day 11: Livingstone – Johannesburg
Fly to Johannesburg where you will spend the night at leisure. Your Classic Journey ends here before you continue on to East Africa, where your Remote Journey begins.

Day 12: Johannesburg – Arusha
Fly via Dar es Salaam in Tanzania to the city of Arusha. Transfer to your hotel, on the grounds of a coffee plantation and settle in with Welcome Drinks in the evening.

Day 13: Arusha – Tarangire National Park
Depart Arusha by 4WD today and head to Tarangire National Park, whose landscape is teeming with imposing baobabs and vast savannah plains.Along the way, make a stop at a Maasai village. Here, you’ll learn how the women are creating a sustainable living, thanks to improved water conditions and the ability to grow vegetables for food and income. After your time spent at the Masai village, arrive at Tarangire in the afternoon. Settle in and head out on your first game drive here.

Day 14: Tarangire National Park
The plains of Tarangire National Park are home to an incredible amount of animals, but they are most famous for the annual elephant migration. Rise early this morning, to get up close to these gentle giants on your morning game drive. Return to your camp for lunch before heading out again on another game drive with your experienced driver/tracker. This evening savour another dinner at your camp.
Day 15: Tarangire National Park – Ngorongoro Crater
Depart Tarangire National Park after breakfast this morning. You’ll be staying close to the Ngorongoro Crater, which is the world’s largest inactive, and unfilled volcanic crater. This afternoon, perhaps take an included optional game drive through Lake Manyara National Park before enjoying some time to relax. This evening, sit down to a delicious dinner at your romantic country lodge.

Day 16: Ngorongoro Crater
Enjoy a game drive into the Ngorongoro Crater. During your time at the crater today, you’ll also stop for a picnic lunch, giving you time to take in the surrounds. Voted as one of the Seven Wonders of Africa, the crater’s high walls are a natural enclosure to vast numbers of animals. Among them are wildebeest, zebras, gazelles and lions, so make sure you have your camera ready to capture the abundant wildlife.
Day 17: Olduvai Gorge, Serengeti National Park
Visit the prehistoric site, Olduvai Gorge, for a private lecture and tour. One of the world’s most important prehistoric sites, evidence of early humans has been made here, and the gorge is known as the ‘cradle of mankind’. Watch for wildlife as you travel to your spectacular lodge with expansive views over the Serengeti, allowing you to feel at one with the untamed plains.

Day 18: Serengeti National Park
Head out on an early morning and afternoon game drives, keeping a close eye out for the animals that call the park home. See how the endless dry grasslands collide with a brilliant sky. Later, enjoy the infinity pool and views of the waterhole at your lodge.
Day 19: Serengeti National Park – Masai Mara
Board a light aircraft for your journey to Kenya, where you will take a picturesque flight to the Masai Mara. Later, arrive at your camp, where you will retire to your tent retreat that affords uninterrupted vistas along the Mara River.

Day 20: Masai Mara
Perhaps embark on a balloon safari over the Masai Mara – own expense and booked on tour. Later, enjoy the sensational Masai on morning and afternoon game drives through the private Mara conservancy.

Wake to the sounds of the African bush before a day of game drives. This evening, enjoy a traditional bush dinner within the incredible setting of the Masai Mara Reserve.
Day 22: Marai Mara – Nairobi
