Day 1: Arrive Santiago, Chile
Arrive in Santiago, the Chilean capital. Situated in the Santiago basin and flanked by the Andes, this metropolis enjoys one of the most stunning settings of any city in the world. On arrival, be met and transferred to your hotel. Enjoy a Welcome Reception this evening.
Hotel: Atton El Bosque, 2 nights
Day 2: Santiago – Valparaíso
After breakfast, head off to explore the port city of Valparaíso, one of the South Pacific’s most important seaports. On arrival, set out on a tour of the World Heritage-listed town centre, then take a drive into the surrounding hills to absorb the vistas of the bay and the colourful city below. Later, return to Santiago for your evening at leisure.
Day 3: Santiago – Buenos Aires, Argentina
This morning, see Santiago’s modern and historic sites. Take in panoramic views by funicular and cable car. Rich in history, walk around the Plaza de Armas then transfer to the airport and fly to Buenos Aires. On arrival, check in to your hotel before free time.

Day 4: Buenos Aires
Your in-depth sightseeing tour of Buenos Aires commences this morning along the Avenida de Mayo. At the Plaza de Mayo, admire the pink Casa Rosada, a palatial building that houses the offices of the Argentine president. You’ll also see the city’s cathedral as well as the Cabildo, Buenos Aires’ first city hall. Visit Café Tortoni, an amazing coffee house with a rich history. Here, indulge in coffee and a selection of Spanish delicacies. Later, explore the Italian-influenced barrio of La Boca and its famously colourful pedestrian street, the Caminito. You’ll also travel along Avenida 9 de Julio. This evening, indulge in an authentic Argentinian dinner while taking in an exhilarating tango performance.
Day 5: Buenos Aires
Armed with the insight and advice provided by your Travelmarvel Tour Director, today is yours to either relax or further explore this fascinating city.
Enhance Your Journey: Perhaps enjoy a tango dance class; head to Tigre and cruise the Paraná Delta; or visit a hacienda (ranch) for a full-day adventure featuring horseback riding, folk music and lunch.
Day 6: Buenos Aires – Rio de Janeiro, Brazil
This morning, fly to beautiful Rio de Janeiro, also known as ‘Cidade Maravilhosa’ – Portuguese for the Marvellous City. On arrival, after checking-in, enjoy time to recharge or stroll along the stunning Copacabana beachfront.
Hotel: Porto Bay Rio International, 3 nights
Day 7: Rio de Janeiro
Soak up Rio de Janeiro’s unique atmosphere with most of the day at leisure. In the evening, embark on a picturesque sunset cable car ride up to the majestic peak of Sugarloaf Mountain, where sublime views await you. Later this evening, sample Brazil’s national cocktail, the caipirinha, before enjoying a delicious Brazilian BBQ dinner.
Day 8: Rio de Janeiro
Head to Corcovado Mountain and visit Christ the Redeemer at its peak, absorbing the breathtaking views from the top. Before an afternoon at leisure, visit the famous parade arena known as the Sambadrome on a guided tour.
Enhance Your Journey: Today, you may like to visit the Maracanã Stadium or take a historical walking tour.
Day 9: Rio de Janeiro – Iguassu Falls, Brazil & Argentina
Fly from Rio de Janeiro to Iguassu Falls, a system of 275 spectacular falls that lie on the border of Argentina and Brazil. On the Brazilian side, experience the majesty of World Heritage-listed Iguassu National Park during a half-day tour. Walk through the subtropical rainforest and take in panoramic views of the falls.
Hotel: Mercure Iguazu, 2 nights
Day 10: Iguassu Falls
On the Argentinian side, ride the Rainforest Ecological Train to a series of walkways and viewing points. This narrow gauge train stops at several locations including one that leads to the 82-metre-high Devil’s Throat, one of the most spectacular falls of the region. Enhance Your Journey: Perhaps board a speed boat safari and get up close to the powerful waterfalls. You may like to enjoy a hands-on Argentine Experience Dinner this evening.
Day 11: Depart Iguassu Falls
This morning after breakfast, you will be transferred to the airport for your onward flight.
