Day 1: Arrive Arusha
Arrive into northern Tanzania and transfer to your lodge, set in lush tropical gardens on a working coffee farm just outside Arusha.

Day 2: Arusha – Tarangire National Park
Fly by light aircraft to Tarangire National Park, renowned for its towering baobabs, open grasslands, and large herds of elephant. Spot wildlife en route to your vintage-style camp.
Hotel: Little Chem Chem, 2 nights
Day 3: Tarangire National Park
Enjoy morning and afternoon game drives either in the camp’s private concession, or in Tarangire itself. Keep your eyes trained for abundant wildlife, including eland, oryx, wildebeest, zebra, elephant, hartebeest, large prides of lion, and exotic birds such as the bateleur and martial eagle.
Day 4: Tarangire – Ngorongoro Conservation Area
Onwards by road to the Ngorongoro Conservation Area, stopping to explore a vibrant local market and community on a tuk-tuk ride, followed by lunch at charming Gibb’s Farm, a working coffee plantation. Later, arrive at The Highlands, located on the slopes of the Olmoti Volcano, where you bed down in a perspex-and-canvas domed suite with stunning views.

Day 5: Ngorongoro Conservation Area
Descend into the Ngorongoro Crater, exploring the panoramic grasslands on the floor of this ancient volcanic caldera. Home to a plethora of wildlife including rare black rhino, as well as the rest of the ‘Big Five’, this incredible ‘Lost World’ is a UNESCO World Heritage Site. This afternoon, visit an elder at a Maasai village to learn about the tribe’s traditional, nomadic lifestyle and coexistence with wildlife.
Day 6: Ngorongoro Conservation Area
Lace up the boots for a walk into the Empakaai Crater accompanied by a ranger. Keep an eye out for an array of animals and extensive birdlife as you descend through lush forest to the sparkling soda lake on the crater floor, famous for the pink flamingo that congregate on its shores.
Day 7: Ngorongoro Conservation Area – Serengeti National Park
Fly to the world famous Serengeti National Park and settle into your luxurious mobile tented camp which moves with the Great Migration, ensuring maximum exposure to this spectacular movement of wildebeest and zebra, and their accompanying predators.

Days 8 & 9: Serengeti National Park
The next two days are spent exploring the boundless Serengeti, home to one of the world’s largest concentrations of wildlife, with lion, hyena and leopard all abundant.
Day 10: Serengeti National Park – Ruaha National Park
Fly south to Ruaha, one of Tanzania’s wildest parks and home to an incredible number of animals including an estimated 20,000 elephants alone. Other species include huge herds of buffalo, giraffe, zebra, impala, eland, hippo, lion and leopard, as well as some of the rarer creatures, including sable and roan antelope and greater kudu. Your accommodation is sophisticated Jabali Ridge, set high on a rocky kopje overlooking a landscape dotted with spiky palms and bulbous baobabs.

Days 11 & 12: Ruaha National Park
Ruaha offers as definitive a cross-section of wildlife as any park on the continent. Over the next two days, explore the territory with game drives and guided walks.
Day 13: Ruaha – Dar Es Salaam
