Day 1: Sandakan – Sukau
0800-0810 hours – pick up from hotel in Sandakan or meet upon arrival at the Sandakan Airport. Drive for about 30 minutes to Sepilok Orangutan Rehabilitation Centre where orphaned and injured Orangutan brought to Sepilok to be rehabilitated to return and fend for themselves back to the wild. Sepilok is a primary lowland forest; a fine showcase of Borneo’s remaining rainforest. Witness the 1000 hours feeding of Orang Utan from a platform in the forest and watch the 25 minutes scheduled video documentary show. Drive for about 2 ½ hours drive through rustic countryside studded with villages. Take a short boat transfer to Borneo Nature Lodge. Time for orientation, have lunch and check in. Relax by the river before embarking by boat up-river at 1600 hours along Sabah’s longest river, Kinabatangan with opportunity to view wildlife the birds in its virgin rainforest habitat. Search for some of the primates species including the endemic Proboscis Monkeys as they settle down on treetops. Kinabatang Wildlife Sanctuary is on the best places in Southeast Asia to observe wildlife.

Day 2: Sukau
Wake up to the calls of birds, insects and animals.Take an early morning cruise up to The Kinabatangan River and onto Kelenanap Ox-Bow Lake for bird watching and in search of other wildlife. Take a short jungle walk (if weather permits) and experience the wilderness of Borneo before returning to the lodge for breakfast. Free at leisure to explore the surrounding areas or nearby village. In the late afternoon at 1600 hours, boat
cruise along the river to see many species of flora and fauna of the rainforest.
Note: Optional tour e.g. Night Cruise, Night Walk & Tree Planting can be arranged at the lodge with minimal rates depends on the weather condition (Optional night activities starts at 2000 hours)
Day 3: Sukau – Lahad Datu
After breakfast, early morning transfer to Lahad Datu town. Proceed to the Borneo Nature Tours office for registration and briefing 0900 hours. Depart for 2 ½ hours overland journey on gravel road to Danum Valley Borneo Rainforest Lodge. This is the largest protected area of lowland dipterocarp rainforest in Sabah. Covering 43800 hectares 1200 hours. Arrive at Borneo Rainforest Lodge. Be welcomed by an exotic “Welcome Drink” while the Front Office personnel brief you on the facilities available at the lodge. Check in and
lunch at the lodge.

|1500 hours||Afternoon Trek: Introduction to the forest through “Nature Trails” and tree top “Canopy Walkway” 300m in length and 26m at the highest point, for a close-up observation of the rainforest|

Day 4: Danum Valley Borneo Rainforest Lodge
|0700 hours||Breakfast at the lodge|
|0900 hours||Morning Jungle Trek: Trek to the Kadazandusun burial site – “Coffin Cliff” before proceed to “View Point” for a bird’s eye view of the area. Descend to the “Jacuzzi Pool” for a refreshing dip.|
|1230 hours||Lunch at the lodge|
|1500 hours||Afternoon Jungle Trek or go for a relaxing session of “tubing” down the Danum River.|
|1900 hours||Dinner at the lodge|
|2030 hours||Night Walk in search of nocturnal animals.|
Day 5: Danum Valley Borneo Rainforest Lodge – Lahad Datu
|0700 hours||Breakfast at the lodge. Guests at own leisure|

|1330 hours||Check out and depart for 2 ½ hours drive to Lahad Datu Airport|
